From 2023 to 2024, the Unsettled Accounts project collected 10 oral history narratives from Black Bostonians who lost their family homes and businesses to eminent domain takings related to urban renewal and highway projects, and questionable tax liens, utility bills, refinancing practices, and court proceedings.
